White Suit Sculptures

Few artists engage in the subject of the city and its financial markets. As a result of my fascination with the City of London, I have created an ongoing series of fibre glass sculptures. These white suits lean languidly against doorways, sprawl over chairs and lie prostrate on the ground. The animated stylised hollow figures emerge almost ghost like with their faces censored, devoid of personal identity. They speak in a surreal and charasmatic way of the personalities who work in the financial markets of the square mile.

Each sculpture is unique and indivudually made in fibre glass. They are weatherproof and can be placed in either interior or exterior positions.

‘The simplicity of Goodwin’s sculpture provides the power, the result is clarity and boldness which are rarely combined in British art ‘
