Before commencing a fine art education Jane worked in publishing (Thomson Publications) and advertising (J.Walter Thompson). She also acted as the buying agent for Marks and Spencer in Lagos, Nigeria.

She has three children and lives with her husband in London and Barcelona where she has studios.
